Animal Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture. Al-Mansourah University, Mansoura, Egypt
Abstract
This study was carried out during 200412005 on Nile tilapia fish. Fats or
vitamins were added to the brooders’ diet. This work was evaluated via fish weight.
egg production. economic efficiency, fish body composition and blood analysis. From
the obtained results, it could be concluded that Nile tilapia brooders used in hatching
could be fed before spawning season a diet contains 25% crude protein and
supplemented with 5% of a mixture 1:1 of fish oil and sunflowers oil. This dietary
treatment was the best concerning % laying brooders, fry production. profitability,
economic efficiency and immunity (high WBCs and % lymphocytes).
